All Alamo customers at the Domestic Terminal will be serviced temporarily at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car counter located in Terminal 2. If you arrived via Terminal 2 please proceed towards the carousel arrivals area in Jetstar in Terminal 2 to find the Enterprise counter on the ground floor. If you arrived via Terminal 3, please exit the terminal and turn right, and walk for approximately 5 minutes following the signs to Terminal 2, where the Enterprise Rent-a-Car counter is located inside.
Once the paperwork is completed, our friendly staff will direct you to our courtesy shuttle which will take you to your rental vehicle at our parking lot. The shuttle service to our parking lot at our Enterprise Mascot depot at 7 Coleman Street, Mascot, NSW, 2020 is approximately a 7-10 minute drive.
Note: Due to Sydney Airport remedial works in the Domestic P1 car park, all Alamo domestic customers will be serviced in Terminal 2 and all car rental returns will be at 7 Coleman Street, Mascot, NSW, 2020.
Alamo customers arriving off international flights to Terminal 1 can make their way to our office in the arrivals hall after exiting the customs gates. Our friendly staff will complete your paperwork and give you directions to your vehicle, which is located a short walk from the terminal building.
You can save time at the counter when you activate Accelerated Check-in online. Just provide your driver's license and contact information that are normally collected at pick-up and we will be ready when you arrive. You'll be on the road and on vacation before you know it!
Returning your vehicle after the location closes is easy with Alamo. We'll tell you where to park it; just drop the keys in the dropbox and you're on your way!
Skip the rental counter lines and check-in directly by using Alamo's touch-screen kiosk. Check-in using the kiosk and a receipt-sized rental agreement is printed. You'll be directed to your rental car on the lot. At the exit booth, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driver's license - and simply drive away.
No need to visit the counter or kiosk. You can go straight to your car!
In order to take advantage of this optional free service, you'll need to activate Accelerated Check-in online then choose the 'Skip the Counter' option. You will be required to confirm your protection options, agree to the Rental Agreement Terms & Conditions and enter a valid credit card (no charge is made until you return your vehicle). Simply print your rental agreement to bring with you, and you are all set! Go directly to your car, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driver's license - and get on the road!
Each additional driver is charged at a flat fee per day of AUD 10.00 (excludes GST).
DOMESTIC AFTER-HOURS RETURNS
After-hours vehicle return is not currently available at the Domestic terminal. As a courtesy, customers wishing to return after hours will need to return to the Enterprise car rental car park at the International terminal and make their own way to the domestic terminal, if required. Please be advised that the Sydney Airport Domestic and International terminals are not connected and are not walkable.
INTERNATIONAL AFTER-HOURS RETURNS
At Sydney International Airport follow car rental return signs, park in the Enterprise parking area, and take your key to the Enterprise desk based in the arrivals hall. If this desk is unattended place the key in the drop box on the desk.
Minimum driver age of 21 years old. There is no maximum age.
A young driver surcharge of AUD 23.50 per day (excludes GST) applies to all Drivers aged between 21-24 years old.
Drivers aged between 21-24 are restricted to vehicles Mini, Economy, Compact, Compact SUV, Compact Commercial Van, Intermediate, Intermediate pickup and Standard only.
All drivers must have held their licence for a minimum of one year.
If any driver is on a probationary licence there is an additional Probationary Licence Fee of AUD 28.00 per day (excludes GST).
For classes Luxury, Premium SUV, Luxury full size, Elite Full Size 4WD, Premium Elite SUV and Luxury SUV there is a minimum driver’s age of 30 years old. Local Renters must provide two current forms of ID both confirming home address i.e. Phone bill and Rates bill, documents must have been issued within the last 2 months. A full licence is required to drive any of the prestige fleet.
The Renter must not use the Vehicle outside the Permitted Area of Use. If the renter takes the Vehicle outside the Permitted Area of Use their Liability for any loss or damage will increase and any optional damage waiver selected void.
For Vehicles rented in Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, the permitted area of use DOES NOT include Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
Vehicles may not be driven above the snow line from June to October, on beaches, in watercourses or rivers.
“Permitted Area of Use” means the area in which the Vehicle may be driven. The Permitted Area of Use is limited as follows:
1. For those Vehicles-hired outside the Northern Territory and Western Australia, the Permitted Area of Use does not include the Northern Territory or Western Australia.
2. For those Vehicles hired from the Northern Territory, the Permitted Area of use does not include any other States or Territories of Australia.
3. For those Vehicles hired in the Northern Territory, the Permitted Area of use does not include driving on the road to Jim Jim Gorge and Twin Falls or north of the Oodnadatta Track including the following areas: Mount Dare, Dalhousie Springs, Witjira National Park and Pedirka Desert.
4. For those Vehicles hired from Western Australia, the Permitted Area of Use does not include any other states or Territories of Australia and does not include any place further north or East than Exmouth or further east than Kalgoorlie-Boulder Township or Esperance.
5. The Permitted Area of Use in Queensland does not include any place further north than Cooktown or in a westerly direction beyond Chillagoe and Georgetown. The Permitted Area of Use does not include the ‘Bloomfield Track’ coastal route between Cape Tribulation and Cooktown or Fraser Island and Stradbroke Island.
6. The Permitted Area of Use in South Australia does not include any place further north than Wilpena or in a westerly direction beyond Ceduna.
All vehicles rented come with a standard cover as below:
Mini (MCMR/MCAR), Economy (ECAR/ECMR), Compact (CDAR), Economy SUV (EFAR), Compact SUV (CFAR), Intermediate-Midsize (IDAR), Intermediate-Midsize SUV (IFAR), Standard (SDAR), Standard SUV (SFAR), Full-size (FDAR/FCAR), Full-size Hybrid (FCAH) and Premium (PDAR) all include a standard damage liability of 5200.00 AUD.
8 Seat Minivan (PVAR), Full-size SUV (FFAR) and Premium 4WD (XFAR) all include a standard damage liability of 5700.00 AUD.
Commercial vehicles including utes, vans, trucks and mining specific vehicles all include a standard damage liability of 6200.00 AUD.
Your Loss or Damage Liability (LDL) is the amount payable by you in the event of loss or damage to the Vehicle even if you are not at fault. Your liability includes damage to the vehicle, damage to other vehicles, a Claims Administration Fee, loss of use, towing and more. For a small daily fee, you can reduce your damage liability.
With the purchase of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) you will only be liable up to the nominated liability for the cost of repair to your vehicle or any 3rd parties vehicle or property. The reduced liability are as follows:
For Mini (MCMR/MCAR), Economy (ECAR/ECMR), Compact (CDAR), Economy SUV (EFAR), Compact SUV (CFAR), Intermediate-Midsize (IDAR), Intermediate-Midsize SUV (IFAR), Standard (SDAR), Standard SUV (SFAR), Full-size (FDAR/FCAR), Full-size Hybrid (FCAH) and Premium (PDAR) the damage liability would reduce to 1350.00 AUD.
For 8 Seat Minivan (PVAR), Full-size SUV (FFAR) and Premium 4WD (XFAR) the damage liability would reduce to 1750.00 AUD.
For Commercial vehicles including Utes, Vans, Trucks and Mining Specific vehicle the damage liability would reduce to 2750.00 AUD.
Possible to and from most locations. One way drop-fees apply for all valid one-way rentals in Australia.
No one ways into or out of Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania.
If the renter returns the vehicle to a location that differs from the one noted on the original rental agreement, then a relocation fee based on the KM distance table below will be applied.
From 01 KMS to 50 KMS = AUD 51.80
From 51 KMS to 250 KMS = AUD 323.75
From 251 KMS to 500 KMS = AUD 647.50
From 501 KMS to 750 KMS = AUD 1036.00
From 751 KMS+ = AUD 1,295.00 (max charge)

Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. Where a vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of fuel, the renter will be charged for fuel and a refuelling fee. A minimum refuelling charge of AUD 25.00 applies if a fuel top-up is required. A pre-paid fuel option is available at time of collection at a discounted rate per litre. All fuel charges must be settled by the renter.
Customers must present a full valid driving licence which has been held for a minimum of 12 months. Driving license can be from any country. If the license is not in English, an international drivers license must be presented along with drivers license from country of origin. Self drive service only.
A valid credit card or Visa or MasterCard debit card must be provided for all rentals. The credit card holder is listed as the hirer and must be present at the time of rental commencement. NO CASH is accepted for any payments or bond. Charges for options and coverage are to be settled at the commencement of the rental.
A credit card fee applies as follows and is applicable to all rental charges (excluding the deposit bond) including any optional items purchased and damage liability charges. There is no refund of credit card surcharges:

Union Pay Cards are accepted if they have the Visa and MasterCard Union Pay logo present on the card.

The credit card deposit (by way of pre-authorisation) is up to AUD 200.00.
If customer satisfies the below local renter criteria, up to AUD 1,000.00 (by way of pre-authorisation) is required, along with second proof of ID that shows drivers name and address e.g. utility bill.
1. Lives locally; within the greater metropolitan area of the city of pick up
2. Is a first-time renter with Enterprise (in either Australia and New Zealand)
3. Is not a Corporate Renter
Security Bonds - Prestige Fleet
For classes Compact Elite, Premium full size, Luxury full size, premium SUV, Elite Full size 4WD, Premium Elite SUV and Luxury Elite SUV, the credit card deposit (by way of pre-authorisation) is AUD 1,000.00.
This is the roadside assistance service that kicks in where standard breakdown service ends. Premium Roadside Assistance covers those times when you just need a helping hand to get on your way, like fitting a spare tyre or opening a car with the keys locked in.
Services offered in the Premium Roadside Assistance program include:
• Change a flat tyre (install vehicle’s spare tyre)
• Lockout service if you are locked out of your car
• Fuel delivery - up to 15 litres at no charge if you run out of fuel
• Jump starting your car if the battery is run flat (lights left on)
• AUD 150.00 of accommodation or transport costs (reimbursement of expenses as a result of rental car breakdown)
Premium Roadside Assistance is there to help you 24/7. For a daily fee of AUD 9.00 (excludes GST) for all car groups; customers save on all of the above and receive total peace of mind.
Please Note: Premium Roadside Assistance will coordinate provider services for you. You will need to be present with the vehicle for Premium Roadside Assistance services to be provided. The relevant phone number to contact can be found on the rental agreement wallet which you will receive when collecting your vehicle.
We accept current Australian, New Zealand, International and overseas licences. Overseas licences that are not easily identifiable as a drivers licence must be accompanied by an International Licence or certified English translation. Valid driver’s licence must be held for a minimum of 12 months.
In Australia as long as the rental vehicle is registered; the Green Slip (CTP - Compulsory Third Party Insurance) covers all injuries including death caused to other road users such as drivers, passengers of other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, motor cyclists and pillion passengers if you are at fault in a motor vehicle accident. CTP does not cover damage to property or other vehicles. The CTP provides unlimited indemnity to the insured party and ensures those who are injured have access to funds for services including all reasonable medical costs, treatment and rehabilitation. There is no fixed coverage limit per policy.
