Tallinn Airport (TLL) Car Rental

All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. Additional drivers can be added at the Tallinn airport location at any time during the rental. An additional driver fee of 39.65 (incl. VAT) per 30 day rental period applies.

This rental location offers pick-up outside the opening hours. A minimum 24 hours notice period is required for all after hours reservations. An additional charge of 39.05 EUR (incl. VAT) applies for pick-ups between 18:00 - 08:00. Vehicles can also be returned outside the opening hours of this rental location. Please park the vehicle in a safe and secure designated parking space in the rental car parking at Tallinn Airport. Make sure the vehicle is locked and ensure you have gathered all personal belongings before leaving. Place the keys and rental documents in the dropbox which is located inside the terminal building at the car rental counter. The renter’s responsibility for the vehicle and rental charges end once an employee inspects the vehicle the next business day. No additional charges apply for returns outside the opening hours.

All renters and additional drivers must be 19 or older. The young driver fee for drivers between the ages of 19 and 20 is 3.50 EUR per day plus VAT for all car groups. Maximum driving age is 75.

Outside of Estonia, vehicles can be driven in Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Poland only. A cross-border fee of 88.45 EUR (incl. VAT) per border will apply to all authorized countries and territories. In all cases, customers must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle. Unauthorized cross-border travel will result in a breach of contract and incur a penalty charge of 1200 EUR. If the rental vehicle is dropped outside of Estonia without prior authorization the customer will be liable for all costs associated with recovering the car in addition to the 1200 EUR penalty fee. Please note for cross border travel to Finland and Poland, customers are required to inform the branch prior to arrival or at time of pick up as additional fees and restrictions apply for these countries. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces the liability of the renter in the event of damage to the bodywork of the vehicle. If CDW is not included in the reservation, the renter has liability up to the full market value of the vehicle. If not included in the booking, CDW is available for purchase. If included in the reservation or purchased, the excess amount is 1300 EUR for all vehicle classes. Excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged. CDW is not insurance.

All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it was collected from will be subject to a one-way fee. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location, and pick-up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route, and car category.

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank. As a customer you have a choice of how you pay for fuel:
Option 1 - Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the tank of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused fuel.
Option 2 - We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay the rental company at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Missing fuel will be charged at 4.90 EUR per litre.
Option 3 - You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank to avoid extra fuel charges.

All major credit cards, issued by either American Express, Visa or Mastercard are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. Debit cards, prepaid cards, cash, checks, Diner's club and Discover cards are not accepted. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. The deposit is 1300 EUR for all Alamo rentals and 1100 EUR for all Enterprise or National rentals. If the customer has remained within Estonia for the whole rental period, deposits will be unblocked within 10 days of return providing there is no new damage, the vehicle is returned with a full tank of fuel and there have been no traffic violations or fines received. If the vehicle has left Estonia during the rental it may take up to 30 days to release the deposit due to a delay in traffic fines or violations being processed from the other countries of travel.

Roadside Protection is an optional coverage available for selection by the renter. Roadside Protection covers the costs of on-site assistance and towing (if the issue cannot be resolved on-site).
Roadside Protection does not cover misfuelling, replacement vehicle keys, replacement tires or running out of fuel. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefit of Roadside Assistance Protection.
In cases of rental vehicle mechanical failure through no fault of the renter, Roadside Assistance will be provided at no cost to all renters. This service will include a tow and a replacement vehicle.
Roadside services are available 24 hours a day by calling +372 5166261. For call outs between 1800 – 0900 an out of hours fee of 32 EUR (excl. VAT applies).

All drivers, renter and additional drivers, must produce a valid driving license at the time of rental. In addition to a valid driving license, the renter must also produce ID card or passport and a major credit card in his or her own name. Multiple part driving license holders must produce all parts of their license. An international driving permit is required for anyone holding a non-European driving license. Additional ID or further identification checks may be requested if deemed necessary. This may include an identity check with external partners who may check details supplied against databases to which they have access.

Third Party Liability coverage includes a maximum 5,600,000.00 EUR sum for third party injury or death and 1,200,000.00 EUR for property damage per case. There is no specific minimum cover amount for this insurance policy as every case is investigated individually.
